This guide will show how to move or duplicate an isolated item from a scene creator to a scene or new document in Photoshop, using two different methods.
Duplicate Method (recommended)
- In Photoshop, create a new document or use a blank scene (included in most Custom Scene products)
- Open a pack of isolated or a premade scene
- From the layer panel select an item, right-click > Duplicate Group…
- Select the document from step 1 as a destination
Note: I highly recommend to use this method because it will duplicate the item to the same location. Perfect when you want to keep the same look across all your scenes.
Drag & Drop Method
- In Photoshop, create a new document or use a blank scene (included in most of Custom Scene products)
- Open a pack of isolated or a premade scene
- Select the Move Tool (V)* and click an item from the document and Drag it to the document (step 1)
- Drop it on the document
*Recommended settings: Enable Auto-select / Select Group / Enable Show Transform Controls
Tip: CTRL + Click (CMD + Click) to select several items
