Licensing

The purchase of a license will create a license agreement, a legal document that grants one party permission to use Custom Scene intellectual property. The license agreement will outline what can be used, why it's needed, and how long it can be used.

Custom Scene Seller License Agreement

  • Licensee Shop, or Legal Entity (Company), as indicated at the time of purchase.
  • Number of Shops The number of permitted shops is the number of shops declared and paid for at the time of purchase.
  • End Products Use in website, application, or video game is prohibited. Any use of a Licensed Asset for Sale must: (i) be significantly different than the original Licensed Asset, (ii) require time, effort, and skill to produce and (iii) not derive its primary value from the Licensed Asset itself. Any resale/sublicense of the Licensed Asset in source file form or otherwise competitive with the Licensed Asset is prohibited.

As a content creator, it is important for you to know how copyright laws apply to your content in order to protect your work. For example, you should be aware that fair use rules and copyright may affect how you can use other people's work.

Permitted Assets

Currently, only a selection of assets is permitted to use as a Licensee Seller. Here's an updated list of permitted assets.

Permitted Uses and Quantity Limitations


Digital Products: Licensee may create digital end products for sale such as Hyperlinked Digital Planners and Digital Stickers for Commercial use or Non-commercial use. Using the Permitted Assets only.


Hyperlinked Digital Planners: Licensee may create fully functional digital planners in a non-editing format, such as PDF and GoodNotes files.


Digital Stickers: Licensee may create digital stickers with transparent background and in a non-editing format, such as PNG and GoodNotes files.


Quantity Limitations on End Products: No more than specified amount depending on the selected license combined individual end products or packaging digital sales, instances, impressions, downloads, or installations (as applicable) that incorporate the Licensed Asset is permitted. Consider an Extended Seller License if Licensee requires greater quantities for sale.

Prohibited Uses


On-Demand Applications (Create-on-Demand Services): Any use that allows anyone other than the Licensee, such as an end user, to customize a digital end product is prohibited, whether for Commercial use or Non-commercial use. This includes, but is not limited to, “create on demand” application.


Copyright: Licensee may not claim the Licensed Asset (or a modification thereof) as its own copyrighted work (the original Licensed Asset must be disclaimed in any copyright registration).

Strictly Prohibited Uses


Sale or Sub-Licensing the Licensed Asset or any modification of it in source file form is strictly prohibited.


Sale or Sub-Licensing of the Licensed Asset or any modification of it in a way that is directly competitive with the original Licensed Asset is strictly prohibited (e.g., as a mockup, as scene creator, as a stock asset or template).


Making public or sharing the Licensed Asset in any way that allows others to download, extract, or redistribute Licensed Asset as a standalone file (meaning just the content file itself, separate from the project or end use that is expressly permitted) is strictly prohibited.
